Vello & Caselli
The perfect emblem of the rediscovered railway... gracious memories of a long-forgotten world, ideally represented in these detailed images illustrating scenes of everyday life, narrated by emotions that can only be called up by the landscape, especially when experienced firsthand.
The railway guard houses on the Iseo Edolo were no different from other, nearby ones in function, but their setting is so devastatingly beautiful that it almost justifies the sacrifice, precisely because of their intrinsic unsustainable lightness of being, outside of time and of the world that was progressively evolving, simultaneously making them unique and inexorably isolating them.
