Upper Olona
The Upper Olona Valley segment of the line is a prelude to the Swiss border, completed in the late 1920s and abandoned all too early. It has come to represent the dream of putting rolling stock back into operation for tourism, at least in its final section, which still preserves all the pristine beauty of the foothills to the Alps.
