Central Olona
The central part of the Olona Valley displays what we would now call the area’s twin vocations.
In addition to enterprise, undeniably demonstrated by the two stops in Cairate and by the unusual function of the Candiani stop, Gornate Torba is particularly well-known for the presence of Torba monastery, still open to visitors and a property of Italian heritage organisation FAI.
