The hall dedicated to the “Rediscovered railway” is inspired by the desire to reclaim images of moments in time, structures, and habits characteristic of a way of life on the railways that time has gradually pushed aside, hurried along by the demands of today’s frantic pace of life and by technological change as the transportation sector has evolved over the years. Images testifying to a past that has disappeared in reality but must be preserved in the memory of an enterprise that not only “makes” history but “is” history itself, and has survived down to the present day with its own unique cultural heritage.
