Varese Casbeno

Casbeno (Casben in local dialect) is a district of the city of Varese. It is located to the south of the city overlooking Lake Varese, and in the 1920s, before the establishment of the province of Varese, it marked the lower boundary of the municipality itself. It borders with Varese Centro to the north and east, with Bobbiate to the south, and with Masnago to the west. Originally a farming hamlet of the city, it underwent a period of growth during the 1960s which still continues today.
