Vanzaghello - Magnago

The town of Vanzaghello lies at the north-west edge of the Metropolitan City of Milan and borders with the province of Varese, via the towns of Lonate Pozzolo and Samarate. It is therefore part of the region known as the Altomilanese. The municipal area of Vanzaghello is included in the list of towns which are part of the Lombard Park of the Ticino Valley. The municipal area is also bordered on the far south-west by the Arnetta river. The municipality of Vanzaghello is the location of the Vanzaghello-Magnano station, which also serves the neighbouring town, on the Saronno-Novara railway.
The station is also a transfer point between single and double tracks. The municipal area is also crossed by a section of the Busto Arsizio-Malpensa Aeroporto railway, in the commercial district bordering with Busto Arsizio. In 2006 a rail link was built which can be travelled at 100 km/h, which allowed a train to be routed from Malpensa Aeroporto to Vanzaghello and Novara without the need to double back. Nevertheless, the temporary absence of cargo traffic on the line means that the only use of the link so far has been a high speed rail connection between Torino Porta Nuova and Malpensa Aeroporto, used for a few weeks in 2006, during the Torino Winter Olympics of that year.

The interior, dimmed by stained glass, features a large hall extending into the centre, opening into an oval dome, at the back of which is the large marble altar in the apsidal presbytery.
