Novate Milanese

Following the Unification of Italy, Novate experienced a boom in industrial and demographic growth, partly due to the construction of the Milan-Saronno Railway. Today it is gradually shifting towards the tertiary sector, and is a key part of the Milan metropolitan area.
Although the A4 Turin-Trieste motorway crosses the southern part of its municipal area, there are no exits, with the nearest exit being situated in Cormano. To the north, Novate is skirted by Provincial Road 46 Rho-Monza and by the A52 motorway (the Milan North bypass); there are two exits in the area, Novate Milanese and Bollate-Novate.

The complex offers 200,000 m2 of indoor exhibition space plus 60,000 of outdoor space, as well as a large convention centre. The complex was built in record time in Rho-Pero, in the city’s immediate hinterland. The district, linked to the city by metro and by a railway which runs from the Milan Porta Garibaldi station, has been running successfully at full capacity since early 2006. Those who work there appreciate its functional and flexible spaces, the widely distributed technological services, the streamlined logistics of the complex, which aid set-up and dismantling, its ease of access and the ample parking available.
