Lezza Carpesino

By 1928, the seven municipalities of the Erba Plain were successfully merged. Since 1906, when the municipality of Erba-Incino was established, they had gradually formed a larger area that was more appropriate for the changing times and better able to meet the economic and social needs of the local community.
The railway passing through Pontelambro en route from Erba to Asso and Canzo necessitated the creation of the “Lezza-Carpesino” station which served two villages, Pontelambro and Erba. This is the only main route which directly links Pontelambro with Canzo and Asso.
