Inverigo

Inverigo lies in the Como area of the western Brianza region, along the Lambro river. The urban area has developed concentrically around the residences of the former nobility of the municipality's various villages. Part of the area falls inside the Valle del Lambro Regional Park.
From the end of the First World War until the early 1990s, Inverigo’s rural economy shifted to crafts and industrial activity; most notably, some of the sector’s leading furniture companies are based here. Inverigo is at the centre of the main road network in Upper Brianza, on the Ferrovie Nord Milano railway line and just a few kilometres from the Milan-Lecco line. It is situated on perhaps the most scenic section of the Milan-Asso line.

The villages of Villa Romanò, Romanò Brianza, Cremnago are significant to Inverigo as the town developed around the residences of the nobles who lived there. The town is still surrounded by beautiful countryside, featuring old tree-lined avenues and dotted with an astonishing number of historic mansions and 20th-century villas.
