A small and time-honoured world still in operation, albeit in different uniforms. This was Iseo at the beginning of the 1900s and throughout that brief century.
Here, due to the small size of the area, the railway formed a close-knit unit, and distinctions from the outside world were obviously few. Often relationships between colleagues were familial in nature, and so the duty of “preparing” the vehicle went beyond simple routine, becoming almost a form of assurance for the related travelling personnel, even before the passengers themselves.
