Valle Aperta viaduct
Closs to Como, between the stop at Como Camerlata and the stop at Como Borghi, the train crosses the Valle Aperta, which takes its name from the small river flowing through it, whose source is on Monte Caprino. Despite the small amount of water flowing there, the viaduct built for the passage of the railway, a massive brickwork structure with ten arches, stands proud above the surrounding landscape, whose green spaces thin out as it approaches the city centre.
