Iseo branch
The gallery of images of the Iseo branch has significantly more original content, as construction difficulties were the cause of numerous delays at the time of concession for construction of the railway itself, due in no small part to the natural challenges to be overcome. For its time, the rail road was indeed a remarkable feat of engineering, which can still be admired today as it has remained intact over the years; the tunnels around the lake, the bridges over the Oglio at Darfo, Breno, Sonico and Capo di Ponte, where unfortunately the original historic bridge was replaced by the current structure. The tunnel under the church at Vello probably remains the most significant image, alongside the building of the structure on the mountainside to avoid the issues of the earlier Val di Rabbi landslide.
