Domodossola quadruplication

The new operational station at Fiera di Milano is one of the most significant works of the last two decades on the railway: almost completely underground, it brings the tracks close to the city’s exhibition centre, but more importantly it guarantees Milan an additional point of interchange for urban mobility, as this is where it intersects with the last line of the metro to go into operation, the Lilac line. In addition to the direct link with the exhibition centre, the Lilac line ends its route at the stadium terminus, a major events venue for Milan, thus bringing the life of the city even closer to its local urban connections not limited to the outskirts.
