Camnago Workshops

The Camnago workshops represent one of the most challenging projects of recent years, built with the aim of relieving the Novate locomotive depot of the enormous amount of work due to train maintenance. This is a major project, particularly in light of the area it occupies, as can be seen on a postcard from the era, as well as the scale of the work.

The value of its strategic location should also be noted. Camnago is situated parallel to the RFI railway line to Switzerland and lies close to the new Pedemontana road: the nerve centre of a system that has yet to be fully exploited.
