Caffaro Brescia

Beginning in the early 1900s, the industrial development of the city of Brescia reached its peak in the inter-war period, particularly in the western part of the area.
It saw the birth of an important industrial sector, consisting of steel, mechanical and chemical manufacturers and secondary smelting foundries.

One of these was Caffaro. The Milan-based company Erba, Curletti & Zironi, founded in 1900, opened a facility in Brescia in 1906, forming the Società Elettrica ed Elettrochimica del Caffaro. This facility, powered by the Caffaro hydroelectric plant in Bagolino, began production in the Via Milano area.
