Bovisasca

This is a district just north of Bovisa, which takes its name from the road which led to the farm of the same name; it truly was all fields around this area until the arrival of the industrial plants who found their perfect location there.
Undoubtedly, the most significant railway image is that of the railway goods yard which diverged from the Erba line and occupied a substantial portion of the area with an extensive network of industry sidings which connected the various companies using it. Picturing a hive of activity, with people and traffic on the move at all hours of the day, would not be far from the daily reality of the time.
