Consists of a solid forged piece with a rectangular cross section, with the letters FNM raised on its front. In its lower part are 3 narrow slits serving as keyholes for 3 narrow keys. A piston emerges from the back with a solid cylinder which has a larger, rounded head.
This type of bolt was invented and produced by Ferrovie Nord Milano to safely lock the doors of goods railcars.
