Cylindrical sheet metal container ending in an upside-down funnel shape with a threaded metal cap. Two rings on the funnel shape can be hooked to a mobile handle to carry the container. There is a fixed handle on the back. Three copper plates are applied vertically to the front.

The text on the top one reads: 2 kg petroleum 2.280 kg oil;
While the middle plate bears the letters: FNM;
And the lower plate bears the name of the manufacturer: Olimpio Bertoni Milano.

It contained oil for lubricating moving parts, and was provided to each locomotive or to railway stations. It was filled in the train’s station of origin and given to the driver or station workers.
